School Safety - Active Shooters

Wednesday, April 29, 2015

The school environment is statistically one of the safest places for children and adolescents to be, however there are still incidences of violence and safety concerns on school property. It is imperative that school districts are well prepared for and respond appropriately to any kind of safety incident- including gun violence and active shooter situations. Comprehensive staff and student training on active shooter preparedness is essential for all schools. There are multiple avenues for school districts to receive training. Please refer to the list of organizations below that specialize in school safety and active shooter preparedness to see how they can help your school district increase safety within the school.
