APEI has partnered with STOPit, the leading provider of Incident Reporting and Management for K12 across the United States. STOPit is used by over 1,600 schools and now is available to all districts and schools insured by APEI. Eight APEI members have already signed up and are starting to implement the STOPit program in their districts.
STOPit is not only a reporting tool, but an effective deterrent of unwanted behavior in a school setting. STOPit schools can see incredible results including up to an 83% decrease in behavior incidents.
Having STOPit in a school setting allows school administrators to communicate with students on an anonymous reporting platform. Another effective feature allows school administrators to broadcast notifications to the student body, including request to solicit information. These techniques and others lead to fewer incidents in school, and much more efficient investigations when needed.
