One of OSHA’s many requirements is to have an Emergency Action Plan and train your employees on the program. The Annette Island School District has found a great way to train their employees as well as keep their students informed on what to do in case of an emergency. They created an emergency response flip chart booklet that is placed in every room throughout the school. The booklet contains the fire exit map of the school, lock down procedures, school and community phone numbers, tsunami evacuation procedures, weapons on school property, bomb threat checklist, and a section on medical emergencies. This is a great tool that keeps staff and students of the Annette Island School District prepared for any emergency.
