Each year, OSHA publicizes a list of the most common violations that they write citations for when inspecting employers’ premises. Find out what the most common violations are and how you can prevent these violations in your workplace.
Each year on February 1st, employers must post their OSHA 300A Summary for employees to view. The 300A Summary shows the total number of job-related injuries and illnesses the organization had over the last year. To accomplish this posting, the OSHA 300 Log of Work Related Injuries must be complete and up to date. Using the information from the 300 log you can then complete your 300A Summary. Some important points you need to know about the 300A:
According to the Cyberbullying Research Center, more than 80 percent of teens regularly use a cell phone, making it the most common method for cyberbullying. In addition, "about half of young people have experienced some form of cyberbullying, and 10 to 20 percent experience it regularly."
Hazard identification is one of the main elements in an effective safety program. OSHA has come out with a fun and easy to use online tool to help employers become more familiar with how to identify hazards. OSHA calls it the Hazard Identification Training Tool.
