Jeff Bush Retires From APEI After 12 Years as CEO

Jeff Bush Retires From APEI After 12 Years as CEO

Last Friday, April 10, after 12 years at the helm, Jeff Bush retired from APEI.  Jeff leaves the company with some sadness, but also with a great deal of optimism.  The company is stronger today than ever, with a solid membership base, financial stability, excellent consultants, a great staff and an engaged Board of Directors.  He leaves knowing APEI will continue to provide the best public entity insurance services in Alaska.

At the conclusion of the meeting the Board reluctantly accepted Jeff's resignation, wished him well and thanked him for his years of outstanding service.

Larry Semmens, former Kenai Finance Director, Soldotna City Manager, and long-term APEI board chair, has graciously agreed to serve as the interim CEO.  Larry knows and understands APEI very well and will do an excellent job while the board considers the appointment of a new CEO. Larry can be reached at lsemmens@akpei.com.

Jeff thanks the many friends and colleagues he has had the pleasure to work with over the years.  He will miss you all, and  may even think of you as he is hitting a drive on the first tee while the rest of you slave away at the office.
