APEI Appoints Brad Thompson as Executive Director

To Alaska Public Entity Insurance Members, Brokers and other interested parties:


The Board of Directors of Alaska Public Entity Insurance is pleased to announce the appointment of Brad Thompson as Executive Director effective May 1, 2015.  Brad has been the Claims Director for APEI the last five years and has extensive experience as Director of Risk Management for the State of Alaska.


At the board meeting April 29, Board President Terry Eubank said “I am excited to have Brad stepping up to this leadership position with APEI.  I am confident that with his experience and knowledge, Brad will do a great job leading APEI forward to continue to provide municipalities and school districts excellent insurance and loss control services.”

APEI Holds OSHA 10 Hour Training

When: June 17th-18th 2013 
Where: Captain Cook Hotel, Anchorage 
Seminar Topic: OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach Training 

This course is valuable as an introduction to a wide range of safety regulations and principles. The OSHA 10-Hour covers a variety of required course topics and materials applicable to schools and city/borough governments. 

There is no registration fee for APEI members. In addition, APEI will pay for two nights at the hotel for one employee from each APEI member. Transportation expenses are eligible for reimbursement throuth the Safety Equipment and Training Grant. Non member registration is $150 per person.
